The dark clouds came and cover the sky, covering the sky with nothing but darkness.

The strong thunderous roar was heard, and people started closing their windows,
for fear of their belongings and pneumonia.

The beggars started leaving their straw mats and makeshift houses for proper shelter

The streets started to clear, leaving it cold and empty

The first flash of lightning appeared, striking the ground with its deadly touch

The winds became Gales, and the sky continued its darkening, and no amount of light had the ability to pierce through the darkening clouds

The first droplet of water was heard

and came along with it was a mass of water, all pouring down hitting the ground with a solid *splat* before dissapearing

The boy opened his door and ran out into the rain, wearing only t-shirt and shorts.

The weather was freezing, cold and unbearable it was. But the boy went on out, to sit on his favourite boulder.

The people who were rushing home ignored the presence of the boy and continued on their way home.

The boy turned away from the crowd, and continued looking from where he sat.

Looking at no one, nothing except the falling ran, he sat there and gaze.

A old man walk up to the boy, and offered him an umbrella

without hesitation, the boy rejected the offer of the umbrella

The old man was dressed in a expensive suit, with a ROLEX watch and a thick wavy moustache.

He asked the boy, " why my child, are you sitting in this dreary weather, when you can be at home enjoying the warmth and comfort? "

Another lightining flash

No reply

The old man ask again " My child, i'm curious about why you're sitting out here in this heavy downpour??"

The boy stared at the man and gestured him to join him on the boulder.

"close you umbrella sir, and watch"

Despite he's expensive suit getting drenche, the old man kept his umbrella.

He propped himself beside the boy sharing the boulder

"I don't see what's so nice about looking at a cliff." The old man said

No reply

grumpily, the old man continued staring at the cliff.

And the old man finally realised what he was looking at, or rather, what the boy was looking at.

He was looking at the rain, Rain droplets are transparent, but with the cliff as a background, the view of the rain was simply splendid

" It's beautiful isn't it? Not like what the grown-ups said in books and encyclopedias"

With the rain falling down, shapes started appearing on the cliff.

misted and fogged, but extremely clear.

The drawings of the rain, it was beautiful.

Better than constellations, better than watching a movie,

It was simply awesome, first a stag appeared, than a mermaid.

"I would never have notice this, if i didn't approach you m'boy" The old man said thankfully

"Its not about me sir, people in this world are looking at what people want them to belive in, looking at propaganda and lies, the world is in too much a rush due to globalisation. all these people think about is money, better standard of living, having fun. they do not take time to look at the good things around them. all the see is the material things available in such abundance. What happened to the beauty of immaterial things? No matter how far the rich have gone, no matter how much the poor has seen, all these people need, is to look at the good things around them. and stop comparing themselves against people who are better. feeling demoralised, feeling unhappy because they can never measure up. This world is cruel sir, that is what everyone sees. But is we take time to notice the good stuff that this earth has given us, our life, and everyone around us. People's life would be just as beautiful as the drawings of the rain. the paintings the rain give. If only people can be satisfied with what they have now..."

and they continued staring at the rainfall, breathing in the scent of the rain, hearing the thunders and the drawing of the rain.

and they sat there, till the rain ended its painting
